Oh the places you'll see

I visited sites on travel and art and religion...fantastic.

Technorati tango

I like categorizing information...this could be useful.

Tagging (task 13)

Liked the RSS site -- will explore later

Want to be a paperback writer....

Fun, worth looking into at a later date.

Learning 2.0, Understanding 1.5...

It was great, challenging (many thanks to my co-workers who helped me), and I can't wait to review everything. Happy tagging, RSSing, blogging, wiki-ing to all.

NetLibrary e-audiobooks

This is a great resource that I know very well...we import NetLibrary e-audiobook records as soon as they make them available to us.

YouRube?

Tried to view YouTube from here -- can't do it...will look at it later. Enjoy watching these with my daughter.
I liked the Web 2.o tools exercise. I went to the Real Travel site and re-visited favorite vacation places...lots of fun, not enough information but worth visiting.
Task 18 -- This is another aspect of challenging myself to think beyond the box (or the sandbox). Lots of fun.

Thinking outside the sandbox

Very interesting...will post my favorite vacation spot soon.
Walking in the wiki wonderland...and loving it. I liked the Bull Run's wiki...checked everything...found the link to local library systems...cool

Rollyo

I used my favorite vacation spot, Nova Scotia, as my "target". It generated an interesting list about Pictou, NS. Interesting place but it's no Cape Breton.

Thing 11 -- Library thing, you make my heart sing....fun to do but not nearly as much fun as MARC cataloging...

Thing 10 now appearing

Great site! Lots of fun!

Thing 9 -- Finding feeds

This is fun! Isn't that one of our goals in Learning 2.0?

RSS

This is confusing to me but I'm trying to figure it out (with help of my trusty co-worker).

Thing 7 -- Technology

You mean, where's the card catalog? You might think I'm a technophobe but I'm not...really. As with most things for me, I want to fully understand each new cataloging product or method that is available. Cataloging tools change constantly and I change (if it's needed) with them. We attend the Potomac Technical Public Librarians meeting each year and discuss "new" and "old" things. This group has been meeting annually since the 1920s - 1930s...can you imagine all the "new technologies" that have been discussed over the years? We've gone from librarian handwriting on catalog cards to RFID and beyond.

Digby, Nova Scotia

This is one of the most beautiful spots in Nova Scotia.
